Looking for a fun and effective way to connect with fellow professionals? Hosting an Off the Clock Networking event is a great way to engage with fellow Chamber members in a relaxed, after-hours setting. These events are designed to foster meaningful connections in a casual, social atmosphere—perfect for unwinding after the workday.
As a host, you’ll enjoy valuable exposure for your business. It’s a chance to showcase your space, products, or services to a group of 25–50 local professionals—all while supporting the community and having a great time. Best of all, attendance is free for guests, making it easy to draw a crowd.
Off the Clock events take place on the fourth Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. To host, your business must be enrolled at the Basic membership level or higher.

Eligibility & Requirements

Off the Clock hosts must be Members of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce in good standing. Hosts may find co-sponsors to help defray event costs, with the understood requirement that co-sponsors are also Chamber members. Location of the Off the Clock event must be held within Boone County.
Off the Clock hosts agree to:
- Host an event on the agreed upon date between the hours of 4:30 and 6pm.
- Provide appetizers, beer/wine, non-alcoholic drinks and/or water.
- If providing alcohol, all beverages must be served by a licensed bartender.
- All food must come from an approved vendor (a list of caterers will be provided). No homemade/home cooked foods can be served.
- Provide enough comfortable space for up to 75 guests either indoors or outdoors.
- Outdoor space must be covered in case of rain.
- Ensure Chamber & any co-hosts have necessary space to promote themselves at your event.
- Door Prizes and/or Incentives (i.e. discounts, gift cards, etc.) are encouraged but not required
- Submit event information (parking info, catering, door prizes, anything else that makes your event unique) to the Chamber at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.

Off the Clock hosting privileges will be assigned in a fair and equitable manner to Chamber members in good standing. It is the Chamber’s goal to spread these events as evenly as possible throughout all of Boone County, and we do take special consideration for a business that is celebrating a milestone.
